1D Fans Getting Ripped Off By Internet Ticket Scam
Thousands of Directioners across the globe are apparently being ripped off for concert tickets due to touts using illegal software.
The Daily Mirror reports that one tout in particular managed to buy more than 1,000 premium tickets for this years tour, using a “botnet” computer program.
With One Direction being this years hottest band, tickets are always in huge demand, and unfortunately there are never enough to go round.
Despite this, touts are taking advantage of die-hard fans, often re-selling tickets at ten times their face value.
Many times this year, tickets have often sold out in minutes on sites such as Ticketmaster, but it seems that not all of them are going to fans.
Many parents would do anything to let their children watch One Direction live in concert, but thanks to the touts – it’s seemingly a never-ending struggle to get hold of tickets at reasonable prices.� Read the article in full at The Mirror.
